Our organic coconut oil is a wonderful moisturiser and gentle cleanser, perfect for sensitive young skin.

Finely ground oats traps moisture in the skin and softens bath water. We use Canadian-grown organic oats which we grind to a fine powder for inclusion in Galaxy Bombs, Moon Bombs and all our Bubble Whoosh.

We use Canadian non-GMO corn starch. Corn starch soothes inflamed skin by helping to retain skin moisture and promotes good circulation.

Found naturally in citrus fruits, citric acid is a weak acid compound that creates the magic in bath bombs. When combined with baking soda, it releases an abundance of carbon dioxide bubbles that make the fizziness in bath fizzies. It is also a mild exfoliant, so helps keep kids’ skin soft and elastic.

We work a number of US-based fragrance suppliers. All fragrances are plant-based and tested to be skin-safe, non-phototoxic and paraben & phthalate free.

We exclusively use FD&C, and D&C colours in a concentrated powder form. Every batch we buy from our manufacturing partner is tested to be safe, food & cosmetic grade and non-staining. We use less than 0.5% in our formulations which is well below the 3% safety threshold. Our goal is to move away from synthetic colours. However, we have yet to find one that meets all our requirements and doesn’t leave a ring in the tub.

The vitamin E and B-Complex vitamins in jojoba oil helps repair skin and prevent damage from exposure to the environments. It is particularly effective in reducing eczemic flare-ups.  We add Jojoba oil to Rubble and some limited edition products.

The high level of vitamin E in our non-GMO grapeseed oil is great for softening and hydrating skin. It's also a wonderful carrier oil for many of our fragrances. We add grapeseed oil to Clear Bubble Whoosh and it is present in many of our bath bombs due its use in fragrance oil production.

Kaolin clay is a naturally occurring mineral, originally extracted from the Kao-ling hills in China where it was first discovered centuries ago. It is ground to a powder and added to many cosmetics and skin preparations, to help retain moisture and reduce inflammation. We use Kaolin clay in some bath bombs as well as Rubble. 

We use magnesium sulphate, or Epsom Salts, in our Bath Squigglers. We have a principle at Loot, to always add some skin beneficial ingredients to every product. In our Squigglers, Epsom Salts provide a small shot of magnesium that can be absorbed through the skin. Magnesium helps with soothing sore muscles and promoting relaxed sleep.

Sodium bicarbonate, or baking soda, is the base ingredient underpinning most of our products. It is truly wonderful powder in the tub and is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-septic.

SLSa is an all-natural, organic surfactant derived from coconuts and palms. It produces soft, moisturising bubbles that soothe dry skin. It is the gentlest surfactant on the market and is used to provide the bubbles in our Bubble Whoosh.
